Sorry to hear about Chock's injury - had a prong knee myself once, but used a runner.  Sounds like lame excuse.  The Upstarts will have their jai rons for garters anyway.Tongue

Reading the original entry , I was reminded of the time I played in New Guinea-Papua for a Royal Australian Navy team against a Royal Australian Air Force team . The pitch also doubled as an Aussie Rules ground and was levelled off with crushed coral . The ball went in every direction and there were several natives placed around the boundary to stop the ball disappearing into the jungle . It was also extremely painful if you fell over - how the hell they played Aussie Rules there  was beyond my comprehension . Anyway , sorry I can't be there to see the game but Klaeng to KK is just too far . The Seven's Corner bar cricket team will be playing their next match against the Khonkaen Upstarts at 9am on Sunday, 21 June at the army base near the airport (directions below).  Anyone is welcome to come and watch.  There is a large covered pavillion (of sorts) which provides an excellent view of the cricket pitch (helicopter landing area).  Typically, the game finishes around 1pm.  

Directions:  From the intersection of Route 2 (Mittraphab road) and Prachasamoson road, go west towards the airport.  Drive almost 4 kilometers and turn right at the traffic light onto Siharat Decho Chai road.  Continue for another 4 kilometers until you reach the army base at a very sharp right bend in the road.  From the front gate, go straight for 2.5 kilometers.  The playing field is on the left.

Facilities:  There is a clean restroom next to the field.  There is no store nearby, so you may wish to bring some snacks and beverages.
